Using WorkgroupMail for Internal Mail Only

Some organizations dont wish to provide Internet e-mail capabilities to their employees but instead just wish to provide internal e-mail. This is done easily by running the installation wizard and entering the appropriate information with the following exceptions:

· In the Organization page, enter the name Local for the ISP name and specify a domain name which will determine the internal e-mail address of users in your organization. For example, if your organization name is XYZ Inc then choose, say, xyz.com as your domain name. Since you will not be sending and receiving over the Internet, you are free to choose any domain name.

· Leave any reference to POP3 Accounts blank.

· In the Modem page, choose Direct Connection .

· In the SMTP server and POP3 server fields in the Mail Server page, enter None.

· In the Connection page, un-tick all tick boxes on the page.

When you press Finish you will be configured for internal mail for one user. Use the Workgroupmail administrator to add further users.
